This is an original Ibanez ATK 305 from 1994, not one of the more recent reissues. When ATKs came on the market, they were the best "Stingray killer" to be had, and were very popular with funk and jam bands.

There is no Ibanez label on the headstock (at the time the labels were applied over the clearcoat-- it was either removed or never applied in the first place), but the serial number is C441989 (April 1994...when this officially becomes "vintage" I'll know I'm old!). Includes original hardshell case.

The body appears to be ash, with a beautiful grain visible through a very tough transparent finish, and the neck and fretboard are maple. The neck joint is nicely contoured, with a five-bolt connection. The bridge is quite massive, and is designed for through-body stringing. It's a fairly heavy bass, about fourteen pounds.

The electronics are quite nice, and include a three-coil pickup (one coil of which is a dummy),  three-band preamp, master volume, and series/parallel/coil tap switch.

Price is firm.
