A bone nut is a simple and inexpensive way to greatly improve the tone and sustain of your guitar or bass plus the last much longer than ABS. We only use bone or sometimes brass on our own builds. This nut is pre slotted and sized 1.5" wide for J style basses. Check your measurement requirements, can be compatible with other modern styles as well. Ready to install,  but may need some light shaping, filing and or shimming for your particular bass and string height preferences which is usually the case with any nut right out of the package.
