Created by Jason Lamb to capitalize on the grunge craze of the early 1990s, the DOD FX69 Grunge is among DOD’s most infamous pedals. Its harsh sound and irreverent labeling were an aesthetic match for the zeitgeist, but they were ultimately not taken seriously. Regardless, the Grunge found its circuit integrated into a variety of other DOD products, such as the Buzz Box, the Gonkulator and the DOD Grunge amp.
