CT-4BII Preamp Features:

• The CT4B II preamp is designed for ease of use and purity of tone. The CT4B II consists of 3 bands of graphic EQ tone control, a volume control slider and a built-in chromatic tuner.
• The 3 band EQ provides control over the bass (LOW), midrange (MID) and treble (HIGH) frequency response. With the sliders set at the midpoint (0) the electric signal from the guitar is evenly balanced across the frequency range. The desired tone is then dialed in by using the sliders to add or subtract frequency response as desired. Each frequency control slider will raise or lower the band response by +/-5db.
• The volume slider adjusts the output volume of the preamp.
• The convenient built-in chromatic tuner is extremely accurate and very easy to use. The tuner is activated by pressing the TUNER POWER button. To tune your instrument, simply pluck any open string. The tuner will then display the name of the note that has the closest frequency of the string played. The amount of deviation from the note (higher or lower) is displayed by red arrows indicating sharp or flat. When only the green center light illuminates, the note indicated in red has reached precise tuning. When the guitar is unplugged, the TUNER POWER switch acts as on and off.
• Your CT4B II tuner is also capable of being calibrated to frequencies other than standard A440. When the PITCH button is pressed, the frequency that is currently set will be shown by a flashing red light above the frequency number. While the reference light is flashing, press the Pitch repeatedly to set the desired reference pitch. With each press of the button, the reference pitch will increase by 1Hz increments from 440Hz to 445Hz. Once the pitch has reached 445Hz, the next press will decrease the pitch to 438Hz. When the button operation is stopped, the reference pitch is set and the tuner will stand by for tuning.
• To facilitate silent on-stage tuning, the TUNER POWER button also acts as a mute switch when the guitar is played amplified. If you wish to be able to tune with your signal amplified, simply press the TUNER POWER a second time. Press a third time to shut off the tuner function. The tuner will shut off automatically when there is no signal for a couple of minutes.

• The Takamine CT-4BII preamp features a gain knob, an active shelving system EQ with bass, middle, and treble frequency slider controls, and a low battery light which activates when the battery drains below a certain voltage.
• The CT-4BII preamp is switched on by plugging a standard mono instrument cable into the endpin/strap pin jack. Unplugging the cable switches the preamplifier off.
• The CT-4BII Preamp is powered by a single 9 volt battery.
• Preamp measures: 2 13/16th x 2 3/8th

For those of you installing this pre-amp into your "G" series Takamine, you will have to modify the end of your pickup lead to a RCA male style jack.

Custom made adapters are available at additional expense with the order of a preamp.

The adapter simply plugs in and requires no modification to the guitar.

These custom adapters are available ONLY at the time of order exclusively to clients who are purchasing a preamp directly from Addicted To Tone Inc; the adapter is not sold separately.

Time is taken to check new product when it arrives from Takamine; electronic components pass through another more thorough audio and electronics test before being packaged and shipped.

The vintage preamps and used components sold by AddictedToToneInc pass through this same testing process.

Non electronic parts like Tuners, Nuts, Saddles are carefully inspected and tested; any part that requires assembly is assembled.

Many sellers do not possess a working knowledge of the Takamine equipment they are selling and simply send merchandise without examining the item being sold.

As a guitarist, artist and former touring musician I understand how important this equipment is to the individual purchasing it; most of my customers are casual players but for some of my clients the part being purchased is needed for work and making a livelihood - an extended downtime can make for some potentially hungry days!

My endeavors are not approached as a mere "numbers game" or how many boxes of product I can move, for me it is much more personal, most of my clients work very hard for their money; I appreciate and respect the fact they have chosen me to do business with.

Takamine does a fabulous job with their electronics and there are very few incidents of manufacturer defect; very, very few incidents but it does happen.

It is much easier for me to check the product for the customer before it is sent rather than wasting time discovering a defective part after it has shipped; this is how I have always operated; it takes more of a commitment but my clients appreciate it – they know they can trust me to do the job right!

SHIPPING

 I package items VERY well and ship very promptly!

If you are having your item delivered to a temporary living address: Hotel, Motel, Day Suite etc. remember to notify the front desk receiving personnel of the expected delivery.

Make sure the name listed on the package is also attached to the establishments guest registry. If the recipients name on the package does not match a name in the guest registry there is no way for the establishment to know who the delivery is meant for.

Addicted To Tone Inc will only ship to an REVERB approved address.

Make sure the address you have given REVERB as your shipment destination is correct and contains no mistakes.

Changes to a shipping address or the recipients name cannot be made after an item has been purchased.

Providing the proper shipping information is the responsibility of the purchaser.

I ship very quickly, after the package has been processed changes to the shipment cannot be made.

AddictedToToneInc checks each component for possible electronic defect when the new product is received from Takamine and verifies its working condition once again before it is shipped.

AddictedToToneInc ships very quickly, usually the same day an order was placed excluding weekends, USPS holidays, inclement weather events that adversely affect road conditions and orders received after 3:00pm EST.

Items are inspected, tested and well packaged by me personally after the item is handed over to the shipping agency delivery is out of my control.
