Mesa's vintage-tuned enclosures are perfectly suited for the California Tweed. Made in Petaluma, California, these open-back cabinets are constructed from Marine Grade, Baltic Birch and feature an all new, rear-mounted speaker from Jensen. Finding a speaker that would translate the California Tweed's touch-sensitive dynamics wasn't easy. After countless samples Mesa finally chose the all-new Jensen BLACKBIRD ALNICO.

The California Tweed 2x12 offers a bigger, wider sounding version of the Combo’s great sound for those that like girth. It’s two 8 Ohm Alnicos are wired in parallel for a 4 Ohm Load and create a beautifully smooth top end while also thumping the stage with an addictive low end that feels great in your hands and sounds huge in the band. The open-back design is surprisingly light weight, while creating rich fullness and a larger sonic footprint.
