Sadowsky NYC Vintage 5-21  Standard J-Bass 2019 Quilted Maple/Brazilian Rosewood

The Sadowsky Vintage 5-21 w/ P/J pickups offers a great feel and best-of-both tone, with a lightweight, chambered Okume body (7.8 lbs!) and two quiet Sadowsky pickups. Okume is a hardwood from Central Africa that offers great tone without adding extra weight.

The maple neck has a thin, matte nitro finish that lets your hand glide effortlessly (Sadowsky basses are amazingly easy to play). The fingerboard is Brazilian Rosewood* with a comfortable 12” radius and 1.875” nut width.

Tonally, the P/J features the Sadowsky Treble and Bass boost pre-amp with push-pull bypass control for classic, articulate Sadowsky sound. The straightforward controls are: Master volume, pickup blend, treble roll-off (VTC—vintage tone control) with pre-amp bypass, stacked bass/treble cut/boost. The proprietary hardware includes a Sadowsky black brass bridge with quick release and custom Hipshot/Sadowsky Ultralight tuning gears. A softshell case is included.
