This is a very cool and rare to find Barcus-Berry Humbucker Pickup for Acoustic Guitar Sound Holes. It's in excellent shape, showing very little wear.
I seldom see one for sale and can't find any history on the net.
It's 6.1 ohms. Just plugged into my AER 60 Compact, using it on my Taylor 812C with Martin Flexible Core Strings and it sounds great. I have at an angle with the bass side closer to the strings (see pix).
It will fit acoustic guitars with 4" sound holes like my Taylor 812C. It could be put in a standard ring and mounted on a Les Paul (and others). I know Frank Zappa had these Humbuckers mounted in two of his guitars.
