Gibson Moderne repro string guides in polished brass, by Bennett Music Labs

This listing is for a set of (4) Four Polished Brass String guides ( bushing, ferrules, bearings, whatever you wish to call them) for the Gibson Moderne guitar headstock. 

  These are handmade by me ( Bruce Bennett) in my shop in Hixson TN.

  They are made from a high Polished bell brass like the originals and have a very nice natural gold color.  and I have an original Gibson Moderne String guide here that I use as a pattern.

 These guides come with a set of (4) four Polished brass mounting screws that are the correct size and length.

  So if your Gibson Moderne is missing these.. or if you've built yourself a clone of the Gibson Moderne,   then you know that these parts are not made any more..

    Most importantly. these guides help slow down nut/string wear. Having a nice straight string pull over the nut is a well known fact that it keeps wear on your string nut down to a minimum. and they don't hurt your guitars tuning stability at all. they actually help it.  I have no idea where that myth came from.

 if you wanted to, you could design all sorts of wacky headstock styles and these guides will allow you to put your tuners where you want them.

  the set of four of the  brass string Guides with screws, is all I'm selling, not the guitars. and I have nothing to do with Gibson other than being an ex-employee.
 I'm no longer affiliated with Gibson in any way and the words "Gibson" and "Moderne" are trademarks of Gibson Guitars Corp. and have nothing to do with me or my shop. I'm selling a hand made replacement part only.
