Here we offer a very remarkable and rare instrument. Less than 100 Orchestrons were made, and it is estimated that less than 40 are still around....

Designed as road worthy replacement to the Mellotron, the Orchestron uses transparent optical discs with waveforms printed on them. A photosensor detects the modulated signal when a light is shown through the disc. The grandfather of the Optigan and Talentmaker, the Orchestron has a character-filled rich timbre reminiscent of the bandwidth-limited Mellotron, but with a vibe all its own. This model C is built into its original road case and includes the cover. Best of all, it WORKS. We've had it meticulously maintained by 'the guy' that services Orchestrons in California.

Includes the following discs:
Violin
Cello
Solo Trumpet
Solo Trombone
Brass Ensemble
Solo French Horn
Flute
Pipe Organ
Solo Female Voice
Vocal Choir
