I guess we'll never know if Randy Wolfe really inspired Pagey and Plant with his song Taurus. Lots more is known now after the trial and it does seem pretty possible, although hard to prove beyond a doubt. With luck, more folks will be drawn to investigate the music of this seminal and inventive guitarist and the amazing band, Spirit.

In storage since 1975, and by special arrangement with one of his closest friends - we are honored to present Randy California's last known guitar amplifier.  California (Randy Craig Wolfe) is an important American rock guitarist known for his innovative jazz, rock, and ensemble playing with the legendary LA band Spirit; for his early years playing with Jimi Hendrix; and for his claims to partial authorship of the iconic Led Zepplin song, "Stairway to Heaven".

This Vintage 1970 Ampeg V4 belonged to California in Hawaii and passed into private hands and storage in 1975 where it has remained ever since. Pleased to offer it here with all the appropriate provenance and authentication.

Taller than most mortal men, I can only describe the tone as earth-shatteringly loud and clear. Everything working as it should and appears totally original save two replacement speakers. A real visceral thrill to play through this rig!
