***Edit: I just checked, this is the cheapest Mockingbird STC on fleabay, reverb, and guitar center's online used section!***
This is a very cared-for BCR Mockingbird STC (see thru cherry), Guitar Center exclusive that is no longer manufactured. Very fast set-thru mahogany neck, lightweight mahogany body and a quilted maple top. Only has minor nicks that aren't even showing up on camera. Frets have very low miles and no buzz. The guitar is set up and intonated for BEADF#B tuning with d'addario 59-13's, with the bridge blocked into hardtail mode. Plays and sounds great, also has a number of upgrades:
-The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Dragonfire Screamer humbucker (with a black metal cover), the stock neck pickup is still in place (and a matching black metal cover put on it) -A Gotoh allen key holder has been installed to the back of the headstock. Has all the allen keys you need for a setup.
-BCR USA-style top hat knobs -Oversized brass block for the Floyd Rose special trem, massive sustain improvement
-Brass tremolo stopper has been installed, allowing the guitar to be turned into hardtail mode (currently set up this way)
-The 3-way toggle, bridge pickup volume pot and master phase switch have been replaced. -The Varitone knob and master tone knob have been internally bypassed, they are tone suckers. This is reversible but IMO they make the guitar sound weaker.
-Schaller-style straplocks
ChromaCast hardshell case is included. All original parts are also included and pictured: the stock knobs, stock bridge pickup (and a spare humbucker cover), trem bar and back cover.
This is a great intermediate guitar that I just don't find myself using lately, so I'm moving it along to fund my newly found passion in fixing old tube amps.
