Vintage 1970's Electra 2273 "Longnecker" Jazz Bass w/ Original Case! Original, Japan-Built!

Up for sale is this vintage 1970's Electra 2273 "Longnecker" Jazz Bass. This instrument is all original right down to the original bridge and pickup covers, which you NEVER see. The instrument is in very nice condition and shows only minor wear. There are some small dings and scuffs on the body, but nothing down to the wood. The original Electra model/serial number and "Made in Japan" sticker are both still on the back of the headstock, which is also uncommon.

This bass has just been gone over and set up by our tech. It plays great with comfortable, low action. The original frets show wear, but still have quite a bit of life left in them. He sprayed out the electronics and tested everything as well. The only issue with this bass is that the neck pickup is weak. It is not dead, but the bridge pickup overpowers it by quite a bit. Other than that, this bass is 100%, which is very uncommon on these Japanese-built "lawsuit-era" instruments.

The original hardshell case is included and is in nice condition. The black piping on the top metal trip has pulled off and disappeared and the piping on the bottom is loose and pulling in a few spots. Other than that, the case is very, very clean. All of the latches and hinges work as they should.
