This DeArmond M-65 is a Les Paul style guitar made by Guild. This is a very very under rated guitar with a sweet sound. If you ever played any of the old 60's Harmony rockets or Kay's you know about the DeArmond Gold Foil pickups. They were know for there great warm tones.
And this DeArmond has a vintage American made DeArmond humbucker pickup in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan humbucker pickup installed in the Bridge position which brings out more of those hot lead tones. The two pickups work so well together with the warm DeArmond tones and the clear crisp hot tones from the Seymour Duncan.
It comes in a beautiful aged Brown sunburst finish, and is in very good condition with light wear consistent with age. It does have one battle scar, therefore listed as in good condition but overall the guitar is in very good condition. It is on the backside of the lower bout on the lower edge, and on the same side as the volume and tone knobs. One does not even know it is there unless you're looking for it. There are a few images of it in the photo's.
A great player with great sound And as stated before " A very under rated guitar"!
Play this baby through a tube amp and you will be blow away by the awesome tones you will get. This guitar has a lot going for it!!!
Extra's installed:
Black Dunlop Straplok's
Gibson Amber knobs
Amber toggle switch
Seymour Duncan humbucker in the Bridge position.
Black Hardshell case
Guitar has no breaks or repairs, it is not stamped used or is a 2nd and not a B- stock or a blem model.
And please realize that the price of shipping reflects the fact that this guitar comes in a case, so therefore it adds to the weight & size of the package.
We at Rocking the Shack like guitars in cases, nice and safe! And are also big fans of strap locks! Pickguards are also nice.
At the Shack we do tune ups and set ups but only when requested by customer. Unless, At times if we feel that a set up would really benefit an instrument then we just do it.
At the Shack we do complete set-ups at customers request!A complete set-up, (a $90.00 -$125.00 value), includes adjustment of the truss rod, string height adjustment (action), Nut adjustment, pickup height adjustment w/pickup poles radius set, adjustment to the tremolo and intonation set. Along with a set-up we do if needed, a fretdress which includes precision leveling, re-crowning, sanding and polishing of the instrument's frets. So please order a set-up if the guitar you are getting has not had one and you know what you want or just need it done.
Of course every guitar deserves a good set up with new strings if needed!
At Rocking the Shack we keep climate control conditions all year round and the instruments live in a smoke free environment in their cases!
As mentioned before we love cases and strap locks for the safety and protection they offer. Need we say more!
Pick guards are also nice for protection of the body and when matched up right they can really can bring out a hidden beauty in an instrument!
We pride ourselves in offering quality working beautiful instruments for sale. We are great communicators and the best packers and shippers. We ship with Reverb protection through UPS mostly.
We do sell and ship to Canada but cannot list the shipping cost till we know your address, then we can do an estimate of that cost and send you a offer.
We spend the time needed to make sure you are a happy camper/customer. It gives us great joy to know someone is playing and enjoying an instrument we have worked on and owned.
Sometimes it is hard to part with them, they become such good friends.
Thanks so much for your interest!
