Since 1909, Ludwig has been perfecting the bass drum pedal. This beater is a product of that perfection, not too soft, not too hard, and put at a price that anyone can afford.

This genuine Ludwig Hard Felt Beater is the most popular choice for those seeking the classic rock bass drum tone. These can be used for a replacement or rebuild of Ludwig's Speed King pedals, or put on any other pedal for the same feel.
