Black Flag Lo-Fi Harmonic ThickenerThe Black Flag contours the sound of your instrument, rolls off some of the highs, thickening the mids, and adds punch to the bass... it's an anti-buffer... it kind of swamps up your tone. The top knob controls the fidelity... low to high. We like this knob set best at around 10 'o' clock.
The bottom knob is a harmonic thickener. The amount of drive and sonic layering is increased the more you turn the knob up. Or, more simply, turned down is less loud, thick and drivey. Turned up is more loud, thick and drivey.
Jacks: In on the Right, Out on the Left
Controls
Footswitch: Engages the pedal
Fidelity: Top Knob. Less treble and clarity to the left, more treble and clarity to the right.
Harmonics: Bottom Knob. Adjusts the thickness of the output. It's an expanded and modified Depth control from the Buzz Tone.
The Black Flag is a lunch pail pedal... there are no mystical diodes or ancient Egyptian transistors... there isn't even an LED. We've worked hard to make this as bare-bones as possible, accessing classic early rock tones, with the intent on keeping the price point ultra low. The Black Flag is a pedal that works, has got soul, and is intended to be abused without guilt.Based on the Selmer Buzz-Tone. This has been modified and modernized.
This pedal is hand made here in Maine. Each box is hand stamped and the pedal you receive may differ slightly from the one pictured.
Industry standard 9vlt jack, no wall wart included, no battery option, isolated power supply recommended. Run at 9 volts only.
