This is a custom Stratocaster or "Partscaster" assembled by our previous luthier. Body is indicative of late 1970's --  squared single coil rout and 3-bolt neck pocket. Swamp ash body, probably had clear “natural” poly finish originally but refinished several times. There is a non-original rout in the neck & middle pickup area. The codes on the pickups give dates of the 29th week of 1978. None of the other electronics under the pickguard are original. I believe the pickup covers are original but not the pickguard or knobs. Bridge & saddles are of the late 1970's era. Tuners are original except for one mounting screw. This body was originally 3-bolt but previous owner drilled it for a 4-bolt neck mounting plate. Neck has several uneven frets and looks like a bit of a warp. It has no marks as to the maker. Nut string spacing leaves a bit to be desired. Headstock for this era is usually larger CBS style with serial number and bullet truss rod nut. This one is pre-CBS. This is sold "as is" and would be best stripped for parts.
