Now available at HeadlessUSA... The rare bird of the Steinberger world. The very first 6-string guitars that Ned Steinberger designed were the GL2 hardtail models. This is one of the earliest production model GL2 guitars manufactured in the Newburgh, NY Steinberger Sound factory. Many (most) Steinberger aficionados believe that these earliest GL2's have the best tone and sustain of any of Ned's amazing creations. With no tremolo system, these guitars have "sustain for days", and are highly coveted by collectors. An incredible and beautiful guitar in superb condition. This guitar was just restored and set-up by Jeff Babicz, who was the former head of production at the Steinberger factory in Newburgh, N.Y.

This is a true one-owner guitar. It was purchased new, very well cared for, and is in gorgeous condition. Jeff re-fretted it, restored the electronics and did a complete set-up, so it's now ready for it's next lucky owner. Since this guitar has gone through the full restoration process, it plays and performs as well as (if not better than) the day that it first left the factory. Complete and ready to play, but does not include the "always missing" legrest.

This Steinberger GL2 hardtail guitar will ship in its original Steinberger black gig-bag with a new black cotton strap, an extra set of strings, and a copy of Jeff's work-order. Hard cases are also available. Purchasing your Steinberger from a trusted source is critical when dealing with these advanced technology instruments.

Shipping is $85 within the lower 48 USA states. Rates to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico will vary. We're happy to ship overseas, so please contact us for an accurate shipping quote.
