For sale is a 1970-1972 (no serial number present, but headstock logo indicates range) Alvarez 5021 12-string acoustic guitar. This is a Japanese-built guitar with a laminate spruce top, mahogany neck, and mahogany back/sides. Pearloid dot inlays and script logo, as well as a soundhole rosette and 5-layer binding, finish the guitar off.
Playability-wise, the action is medium and could be adjusted to suit your personal preferences. Has an almost-new set of Martin 12's. One bridge pin is mismatched, and all could use a reaming for a tight fit. Original open-backed tuners are present and function well. A few surface cracks in the bridge were filled with super glue at some point, and lacquer at the heel of the neck has cracked (the joint seems fine though).
The sound is phenomenal.
Hard case included.
