Most players know that Dealer Select Wildwood 10's are very special instruments. Wildwood Guitars of Colorado, as a relatively large dealer of Fender products, tends to get some of the best guitars that the Custom Shop has to offer and the Tele offered here is no exception. These dealer-spec'd guitars are known as "10's" because of the flatter 10" radius fretboards that Wildwood orders for these limited models. This marvelous instrument is a '52 Tele with fairly heavy factory aging. It's specs include: a lightweight swamp ash body with a total guitar weight of just 6.4 pounds and a Faded Nocaster Blonde nitro finish; a medium U-shape quarter sawn maple neck with depth measurements of .860" at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th, a nicely aged maple fret board with a 10" radius, 6105 frets and a 1.650" bone nut; and for electronics, a Twisted Tele single coil in the neck and a flat pole Broadcaster single coil in the bridge, volume, tone, a three-way switch and modern wiring.

This guitar feels quite familiar in your hands and is as comfortable to play as your favorite old jeans are to wear. The chunky medium depth neck on this one is more like a real '52 as compared to the huge Nocaster U that some of these have and the well-aged finish on the back of the neck feels divine with no tackiness. The pickups are wound to a nice balanced output somewhere between vintage and bite and they sound great to my (old and damaged) ears. No need to take my word for it, however, just check out the link below to a video of Greg Koch playing this exact guitar!

Judging by the super clean look of these frets, it would appear that this guitar has been a case queen for most of it's existence, although it is hard to imagine how you could have such a fine Tele and not play it! Anyway, this one is in superb (albeit factory aged) condition and includes it's similarly clean Limited Edition G&G case, the certificate of authenticity and accessories. Wildwood is asking $4,149 for a new example of this instrument, but this lightly played 2011 example can be yours for far less. With guitars of this caliber available, there really aren't many reasons to buy a Fender Master Built Telecaster. Click 'Buy Now' and make it yours - you will love it!
