Martin 00-28C 2011 Custom Shop Crossover Guitar Adirondack and Madagascar RW

Near mint condition, one of three made. This is a handsome and sonically exquisite sounding crossover style nylon string guitar from Martin's hand built Custom Shop.  Crossover meaning the guitar is a hybrid nylon string design with a neck and body shape more like a traditional steel string guitar.  The guitar features an Adirondack Spruce top and Madagascar Rosewood back and sides.  The entire instrument was constructed with hide glue.  The guitar was designed to resemble an old 00-28C.  1/4" hand scalloped Adirondack bracing was used to enhance the tone. The net effect is a guitar that sounds full, extremely responsive and gives the impression to ones ear it's an old soul that's been played and broken in but the instrument appears in exceptionally clean condition.  Here are the particulars: Hide glue neck, bridge, braces, top and back to body, body size 00-12 Fret, Adirondack top Grade 5-6, 1/4" Golden Era Adirondack top braces,  00-classic pattern #14A, top binding 5/32" grained ivoroid, 000 fine herringbone top inlay and rosette, solid Madagascar RW back and sides, 5/32" grained ivoroid back binding, solid mahogany neck and end blocks, grained ivoroid endpin with black fiber and maple inlay, modified V 30's style heel, slotted headstock with diamond volute, grained ivoriod heel cap, solid Madagascar RW headplate, fosilized ivory nut, Waverly #5701 side mount tuners, black ebony fingerboard with 16" radius, 26.44" scale length, 1-7/8" nut width, G300 fret wire, 2-1/4" string spacing at 12th fret and 2-5/16" width at saddle, 19 frets, 12 frets clear, gloss finish with satin neck finish, 16" radius long fossile ivory saddle.
