Epiphone Thunderbird Bass 2014 TV Silver w/OHSC

Welcome! For sale is a VERY COOL - 2014 Limited Edition Custom Shop Epiphone Thunderbird Bass in color TV Silver. The bass is in excellent used condition and comes with its OHSC Epiphone case. This bass was manufactured in China in January 2014. This was a limited run of approx. 1,000 units distributed worldwide. I found this bass recently at a Guitar Center and it was so clean except for a minor surface body imperfection I had to pick it up. I'm really picky so here's what I can tell you. The bass had barely been played (if at all) and only had very minor handling marks (probably from hanging up at GC as new old stock.) I peeled off the plastic protective film off the pick-guard, back plate, truss rod cover and back of the tuners bodies. The bass was in desperate need of an original set-up, so I took it to the premier music store in Metro Detroit (Huber & Breese Music) and had my pro tech Mark do a complete setup including polishing & dressing fret board, adjusting bridge, truss rod and installing new Fender stainless steel flat wound strings on this Thunderbird (Fender USA strings model 9050M.) The setup is awesome, deep "thunderous" thunderbird. Controls between pickups & tone control all work as they should. Only played about 1.5 hours in my pet & smoke free studio. Only selling because I found another toy...
Cosmetically, this thing is "very cool." Instead of the boring black PU covers, this limited edition has some cool eye candy. Nickel finish PU covers, bridge, tuners. The silver color is very cool as it is somewhat transparent and allows some mahogany wood grain to show through. Back of body is clean & free of any marks or scratches. Neck is smooth, clean & fast. As mentioned one minor top body blemish, unfortunate but depending upon the angle & light - blends into the finish (see pics.) The neck pickup has a very minor indentation of approx. 1/8" between D & G strings. Top hat tone knob has a very minor chip in the plastic edge (never noticed it until I took the detail pics) which is hard to see. Neck pocket on each side has some very minor finish/paint imperfections; generally consistent with the way this paint finish looks on the mahogany - but wanted to provide a complete description. Also on right side of neck near nut there are three very small and minor scratches - hard to see but trying to cover everything . The Epi case looked new with plastic covering on handle; has some very minor scuffs on it. All latches & hinges looks shiny & new and function as they should. Testing standing the case up on its edge, it didn't stand perfectly straight so I added some small felt spacers under two of the feet to assist. Case includes key in plastic, and some wrenches.
