Travis Bean TB500 #14
The first generation of TB500 guitars were designed to give a budget option to the more expensive 1000S and 1000A. This line was made into two generations, generation one was a very small run of less than 20 instruments. The second was a more refined instrument that fit in with the parent lines better. Each color batch was made at the same time, black, red and most famously of all, white. The first two white versions went to Jerry Garcia, the 3rd which is what is available now, is Marc McElwee's personal guitar of which has never been played and is dead
mint.
This instrument is number 14(all numbers of TB lines started at serial number 11). It was made along side Jerrys 2 TB500 guitars. To say these are incredibly rare is an understatement, there has never been one made available in this condition. The last made available was another employee guitar, from the "Obe" collection and it was unassembled.
The guitar, as seen in the pictures, is dead mint. There is one slight bubble/blemish on the rear on the guitar in the lacquer that is only visible at certain angles. Other than that she is as she was on the day she was strung up. This is a beautiful piece of Travis Bean history.
Shipping worldwide is available. The guitar will ship in an SKB flight case but will have the OHSC as well. The guitar comes with a letter from Marc McElwee about the guitar. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and associated costs.
