Vintage 1950's! Hollow-Body! Made In USA!

This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1950's Kay N-15 Archtop Hollow-Body Electric Guitar. DeArmond Pickup. This is an all original guitar that has been serviced and is ready to go.

This is a really great sounding and playing guitar. Kay was a USA manufacturer out of Chicago that built intermediate level guitars for several department stores such as Sears (Silvertone), Montgomery Ward (Airline), Spiegel (Old Kraftsman) as well as their own brands. They were in business from 1931 to 1969. They literally built Thousands of guitars. There heyday was from the 1950's to the early 1960's. Although they were at the time lower end instruments, they were still built very well, and with just a little tweaking make really great players.

Our Luthier went through this guitar and made some repairs. The Neck has been reset and the action is dead on. The neck has had a fret dressing and feels and plays beautifully. New strings and a complete set up was done. This guitar plays and sounds AWESOME! Keep in mind that although it looks really cool, it is not the quality of a Gibson or Martin. These were lower price guitars aimed at the intermediate market. By todays standards they are pretty decent players, especially if you have reset the neck and made some adjustments to them. Again, you get what you pay for. A Gibson or Martin will set you back about $2000+. This Harmony is nowhere near that price range. These guitars have a very cool trashy tone. Great for the Mississippi Delta Blues. Dripping with "Mojo" and all the Street Cred you could ever want.

Rare and Collectable!

This is a true USA Vintage Guitar. Not a lot of these around.

 Case is NOT Included!

This guitar is NOT a museum piece. This guitar has some very cool wear. This is a guitar you can really use. A "Players" model. This guitar will do nothing but appreciate in value. The cool thing is that you can play this guitar for several years and if you ever want to sell it, you will always get your money back, but will probably end up making a profit.

Everything functions and works fine. Our Luthier did a set up on this guitar and installed new strings.

Nut Width: 1.63"

Weight: 4.15 lbs.

Cosmetics: Good Condition. Keep in mind that this is a 60+ year old vintage guitar. Lacquer Checking over the entire body of the guitar.  There are scratches, scuffs, chips and dings on both sides of the body. The back has typical buckle rash scratches. The headstock has some scratches and chips on the edges. Fretboard in great shape. Overall great "Players" condition. Dripping with "Mojo". The wear is what give it it's charm. Not abused or beat up in any way. It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
