Founded by Ikutaro Kakehashi, who would later found the Roland Corporation, the Rhythm Ace offered 16 preset patterns, and four buttons to manually play each instrument sound (cymbal, claves, cowbell and bass drum). Sold in the US under the brand name Multivox, the FR-1 Rhythm Ace was adopted by the Hammond Organ Company for delivery of their popular line of organs.
