Great old full size German violin from early 1900s. Francesco Ruggeri copy made with excellent woods and craftsmanship. Set up currently with dominant strings, good old seasoned wood bridge , ebony tailpiece, chinrest and pegs. Nice mellow mature tone with very good volume. Comfortable slim feeling neck, lightweight overall feel. Was used professionally with country acts. Excellent fiddle!
Recently serviced by luthier with fingerboard plane completed. One old and well repaired crack under chinrest. Ready to play. Verbally appraised at around $2500. If it doesn't sell on here soon, it'll go on consignment at the shop for closer to the appraised value.
New updated pics of current setup. It is difficult to capture clear shots of the wood grain and flaming since it is so defined, but hopefully this shows the wonderful wood patterns and varnish!
Includes old case for protection. No bow.
Thanks for looking!
