Original left-handed 1974 Jazz Bass. Black finish with white pick guard and maple neck with MOP block inlays. Neck is 3-bolt in excellent condition with only a few very minor nicks on the back. Body is in excellent condition as well with one spot between the pickups around the E string where perhaps extensive picking eroded a small area of the black finish. Neck width is 1 1/2 inches at the nut. Frets are in great shape with no buzz or noticeable wear. Neck pocket has a solid, tight fit. Serial number is 368XXX.
This bass was professionally set up a few years ago by the late great luthier and bassist Jim Mouradian in the Boston area. It plays exceptionally well and gives off that unparalleled vintage J vibe. Comes with the accompanying hardware (ashtrays, thumb rest, OHSC). I have gigged with this bass a few times, recorded in the studio with it several times, and rehearsed with it only a few times. For much of the last 6+ years, it has stayed in its case in the closet.
