     History of the " A " Range
     School is now in session  :

The " A " Range was originally  custom built and commissioned for Trident Studio in the U.K. -   When customers and engineers heard the desk, orders started pouring in from other studios and rock stars. There were originally 12 units planned, however after Cherokee Studio here in LA got the first one, they added another one to there order making total of 13 units built . Cherokee had a total of 4 or 5 which included the one they built them self.
The 13 "A" ranges were followed by 12 "B" range - then the TSM model followed by the 80 series and on - - -

     History of this desk

This Desk has had several  owners including Lenny Kravitz . The desk , when in NYC was upgraded from Zutt to Jensen mic pre tranformers due to the R.F. interferance caused by the NYC train system. The original Zutt line input transformers remain.  The Desk was completely referbed in 2002 by famed tech Clive.  You can see the desk in Gerry Raffertys 'BAKER STREET" video  at the NYC studio on you tube ( about 1;30 minutes into video) The output buss has an added pair of api-2520 for added gain. Any mods can be un modded at ease to what ever you druther .
