- Up for sale is a USED Cort C5H right-handed, 5-string Electric Bass Guitar. This guitar is in excellent, 100% functioning condition. It is VERY CLEAN (recently thoroughly cleaned!) and was kept in a clean, properly humidified, smoke-free, pet-free environment.
- This C5H features a Wenge bolt-on neck, Mahogany body, Rosewood fretboard, (2) two MBA1P-5 pickups- music man style humbucker pickups (cort design), two band Active electronics, Master Volume knob, a Pickup Blend knob, Treble knob, a Bass knob, and a mid boost mini toggle on/off switch (actually gives more of a treble boost but if EQ'd right can be effective), White Pearl finish with a cool gray pearloid binding, and the Gotoh style tuners and the electronic cavity covers have the original plastic protectors still on them! This bass has it's own voice; growly and very punchy with tons of treble clarity and mid presence, and the bass response is smooth and VERY present as well. Regardless of the simple set-up, this bass can have a lot of different sounds, and is actually very versatile having the two humbuckers.
- There is a CUSTOM designed 0' zero degree flat brass shim that was installed to lower the action a little bit. Being custom made, it actually helps give a little bit more resonance to this bass guitar. Again though, it was mainly installed to lower the action of the strings closer to the fretboard.
- There are some very minor surface scratches in the finish on the top of the guitar body's treble side, underneath the 1st string (High G string, SEE PIC #13) . There is a very small crack in the finish only, on the backside of the guitar body, on the corner of the neck pocket, where the wenge neck starts to protrude out; bass side (SEE PIC #14). There is a very small blemish on the corner of the treble side bout, where the grey pearloid binding meets the top of the bout (SEE PIC #15). The head stock has some small wear on the front of the finish, looks to be from string wear (SEE PIC #8), and the nut has some small string wear as well (SEE PIC #7), but you can only see both of these string wear locations in the right light. Since this guitar was used, there is a very minimal amount of minor playing and user wear on the guitar as well, but it is not visible unless in the right light also. I've listed all the minor noticeable user wear. There are some slight manufacturer defects I noticed: on the top of the guitar body, the bass side looks to have a very small finish defect, possibly a bubble? in the white pearl finish, however it is very very small (SEE PIC#16). The wenge neck has some small off color spots on the back side of it, they look almost like glue spots that seaped into the large pores of the wenge wood, but the neck is very solid and is no joke, it's a big darn piece of wood, with a nice comfortable thin C, almost D shape. This bass guitar still looks sweet, plays great, and sounds clear and precise.
- The battery is still in great, working condition with lots of life left. There is no strap included with the bass guitar, however there is an OEM Cort Soft Case/ gigbag included with this Bass.
- The guitar will be shipped with loosened strings, and this 24 Fret, 34" inch electric bass guitar is currently set-up to tune to Standard "B" tuning (B E A D G). It could need a new set-up based on player's preference. The strings are D'Addario (Large Gauge) Stainless Steel strings, 135-45. They still sound and play excellent. This bass weighs approximately 8 lbs, 12 oz.
