Thank you for the reviews and feedback Yes, you need to twist the hanger on the neck of the guitar and then hang it on your rod. This is intentional so your guitar will not fall out of the hanger if bumped. It is very easy to use and your guitar is an important instrument.

The complete system will provide secure guitar display & storage for home, store, studio, warehouse to stage.

Options - Materials

Hanger material, solid metal rod with poly padding. Plastic end caps. Lacquer or Nitrous finishes (vintage guitars) use with our cotton cover.

We have options for padding.

Ethylene vinyl acetate: This is the same material used by Fender, Hercules on wall hangers. Considered safe for vintage lacquer.

Polyurethane foam: safe for modern guitar finishes and widely used. May not he suitable for vintage lacquer.We also have a short hanger version for tight space.

History

This started as what we thought was an easy simple task. We design guitars and tube amps so a guitar hanger should be easy. We wanted the hanger for our warehouse guitar storage / display but did not think it would be something we would sell.

We started bending steel rods breaking wall hangers for parts and came with some ridiculous ideas.  Most of our failures are long gone, but we still have design #1 the 9 inch version. We also still have our 360 degree rotating 9 inch hanger that was built with heavy duty salt water fishing tackle.

Our background is bending metal for race car cages so ultimately that was the method that we were most comfortable with. Like our guitars and amps we design draw our ideas and then go on to the engineers. Well, what they came back to us with looked like a complete loser. On paper, it appeared like the hanger would not properly secure any guitar. The arguing begin, but as it always the engineers are smarter than the  idea guys. The smart guys insisted we build a test run and the bets were put.

Our idea was a simple hanger that would support a guitar, the engineers got this idea and made changes to angels and dimensions. The first time we held the 9 inch version and slipped it on a guitar we knew we had something special. The new design locked the guitar into the hanger and frankly took a sound idea and made it brilliant.

We immediately set about using it in our warehouse and loved it. Our builder and friends are Muse Inc South Korea. Together we decided to first introduce the hanger to the Japanese marketplace. The original hanger supported 6 string guitars and 4 basses. We found out the Japanese market loved our hanger, but wanted it to operate with 7 string guitars and 5 string bass. We also found out that while the 9 inch version works great for ease of use we went to the 12 Inch version.

We now only build the 12 inch non bendable indestructible hanger engineered to work with 6 & 7 string guitars and 4 & 5 string bass. Thank you for reading our hanger history and please also take a look at our guitars and tube amps. Bootlegger Guitar Los Angeles, California.
