Marshall Lead 20

This is an awesome specimen of a JCM 800 era Solid State Marshall, the Lead 20, model 5002.  Solid State can't sound right?  WRONG!  Those Marshall transformers with my favorite 10" speaker (the Celestion G10L-35) make for a killer sounding Marshall.  A/B this with any similar tube amp, you won't find it lacking.  Fun as all get out to play.  Cosmetically in superb condition, and Amazing Tone, for a budget price!

You may have read about the Lead 12, which Billy Gibbons / ZZ Top recorded on.  This is that amp's bigger brother, with a better speaker and enough power to gig with.

Buying vintage gear from me is a unique experience...  I specialize in vintage guitars and amps.  My packing and shipping is epic.  Please read the detail below.  I have tons of amazing ebay/reverb feedback from happy customers.

  • TONE: Killer.  The gain pot lets you dial in as much sweet overdrive as you want, at bedroom levels.  Can get loud enough to gig, at 20 watts.
  • SPEAKER: The original 1980's Celestion G10L-35 10" speaker, sounds amazing.  Perfect pairing with a Marshall.
  • CAB: See the  pics: Impeccable, clean, solid.  The "tolex" is nearly perfect, no rips, loose ends etc.  The grill cloth and piping are amazing.  Handle and corners - excellent.  Original logo. The faceplate, knobs and lettering are excellent.  I did one upgrade - I put correct Marshall elephant tolex on the back panels.  These were originally just painted black, just never seemed right!
