Body: Mahogany with a maple center section and two walnut stripes.
Neck: Three-piece laminated mahogany set-in neck design with adjustable truss rod. This instrument has a rosewood fingerboard with a brass nut, 20 frets & a 32.25” scale length, 1 9/16” nut width, dot inlays. The frets don’t show much wear & they have a ton of life left in them.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Vantage custom-engineered “split coil” bass pickups, two volume knobs & one tone knob, 3-way switch. All brass bridge, chrome plated tuning machines, non-slip black plastic speed knobs.
Cosmetics: There is a noticeable ding near the input jack and some various small dings on the instrument but the finish is so beautiful that the imperfections are hard to see. Overall this bass is in great shape and it is hard to believe it was from 1979!
Playability: This is a fine playing bass guitar. The action is low & the instrument plays with no buzzing or dead spots – we set this baby up with new strings (light gauge) and it is ready to be played and loved for years to come.
