This is a really great vintage archtop. It's a Silvertone 293 Artist model, made for Silvertone by Kay back in early '40s. These were only made for less than two years until production stopped due to World War II.
I features an Adirondack spruce top with a blonde finish and highly flamed maple back, sides, and neck. The neck profile is very chunky, so if you're not into that, this might not be for you.
The pickguard was cracked and has been repaired. The tuners are non-original double-line Klusons, probably from the '60s. The bridge may be a replacement, but I'm not 100% sure.
Weight is 5 lbs, 1.2 oz.
Sale includes the original chipboard case in great condition.
Please feel free to ask any questions that you have.
