DeArmond Reissue Super Rhythm Chief 1100 Floating Archtop pickup in Gold!
This pickup is used on the recent Guild USA Artist Award Arch top.
New-Comes with mounting bar and two screws. Note: the pic shows a plastic connector. The recent ones do not have the connector plug.
This is a very good sounding pickup built like the old Dearmonds and would be an excellent choice for any Gibson, Guild, Kay, Harmony, Epiphone, D'Angelico, and any other arch-top acoustic where a fingerboard mounted "monkey on a stick" type pickup could be used. It requires about 1/2" of clearance although there are two felt discs on the underside of the pickup that can be removed if the fit is especially tight.
A word of caution about installing: In some cases the neck rod may need to be bent slightly for optimum pickup placement. The bend should be made in a padded vise with care taken not to flex the metal at the screw hole. The rod is weakest at that area and if bent there, can break apart. As long as bends are made to other areas and kept to a minimum, you should be fine.
These read around 6.7K Ohms, and use a rubberized ferrite magnet like the originals.
