Testament Alex Skolnick Greg Christian 1987 Tour & Studio Used Ibanez Soundgear Bass Guitar

This is absolutely fantastic!! Featured here is a vintage 1987 Ibanez Soundgear bass guitar which was originally owned and used by Greg Christian of Testament. Because Greg wanted a 6-string guitar and Alex Skolnick wanted a bass guitar, the two swapped instruments in 1989, and for the past 26 years this collectible bass has been in possession of Alex.

Greg used this bass guitar extensively in concert and it can be seen in several live and official videos. The guitar was also used during the recording of the earlier Testament album. Alex used it to write all of the 1990 'Souls of Black' music.

Not only is this 4-string beast dripping with vintage and rich Testament history, it is also in and by itself a collectible guitar, for the simple reason that it was manufactured in 1987 at the Fuji-Gen plant in Japan, which was the very first year of production! Ibanez still makes the SR model and it has become one of their most popular guitars.

The bass has serial number F733754 and has been signed by Alex on the back of the body. The guitar shows visual signs of extensive tour use, such as dings, chips and scratches. The guitar is in working condition but requires cleaning. It comes in the original case, complete with instrument cable and strap.
