Here is the missing piece to your pre cbs p bass restoration. This is a early-mid 60's Fender Precision Bass pickup. It is your typical black bottom and this one came from a refinished P bass from late 62-early 63. The pickup sounds fantastic and reads 12.42k ohms, which i believe is a tad hotter than the average p bass pickup from this era. As you can probably tell, the cloth wire leads were replaced a while ago with new cloth leads, but they are wired up to the original ground plate and foam spacers; both of which are included. I do believe this pickup has been rewound as well. It is the more purple wire found on fenders starting in late 64 or 65. If it is a rewind, it was done professionally and the pickup sounds fantastic. Very punchy. Im also including the original covers as well. I may also have some mounting screws if youre interested, but they are old and fairly worn out. Ill be listing more parts from this bass including the neck, body, tuners, neckplate, and bridge if anyone is interested.
