Up for grabs is a pretty rare piece. A 1989 Modulus Graphite TBX-5 neck-thru bass.
Specs are as follows:
* Neck-thru Modulus Graphite neck w/the KLD (1000 ladies dancing) pattern.
* Graphite nut
* 1 3/4" at the nut
* 2 7/8" at the 24th fret
* Phenolic fretboard
* Black Hipshot Ultralite Tuners (USA)
* Alder wings with Cocobolo top
* EMG 40DC dual-coil pickups
* EMG BQC System electronics (vol/bal/stacked bass-treb/stacked mids). The mini-switch is a 'magic switch' (it's not connected to anything) :)
* Fully adjustable black ABM brass bridge
* Black Dunlop straploks
* A little over 8.5 lbs. (5515g)
* Currently strung with DR Sunbeams (NLR5-40 / 40-120)
Neck is straight.
When I purchased this bass a few years ago, the previous owner(s) did a bit of a number on it. It was "rode hard". Scratches and dings throughout. My first step was to take it to the folks at San Francisco Guitarworks so the neck/fretboard could be planed and plek'd. Next sent it to Pat Wilkins for a complete refinish. After the refinish, the finish on the back of the neck was 'knocked down' for a bit more of a slicker, satin finish.
Will ship in a Modulus hard plastic case. The case is a bit beat up but will do the job and keep the bass safe.
Shipping is free for FedEx Ground shipping in the Continental U.S.
