Hands-On Live Groove Music - Vintage Synth Groove Box!

Vintage Synth Groove Box Dance Music by the Flick of a Switch! - In about 1999 Yamaha created this Amazing DJX Pre-Patterned Groove Synth Box with "Bad Ass" Synth Sound for live dance music - watch the video! - Live Knobs + Switch Controls: Live Filter control, manipulate effects live by knobs and switches on the fly - play through different patterns to keep one dance groove coming! - The DJX is a whole dance music production station, but is much more. In 2000 when it came out there was software that allowed to upload your own patterns into it (software vintage, obsolete - useless though, unless you have a really old computer) - It has MIDI in /out, so can be used as a Sound Module - As to the synth engine / sound of it: The DJX line was a sibling of it's mother the Pro-end Yamaha CS6 - This DJX has an audio input which is used to feed an audio signal to sync this DJX to external beats - This DJX runs on AC or Batteries (Take it anywhere! - The size of a stack of LP records!) and has it’s own built-in monitor speakers.

KNOBS and CONTROLS:

Filter: Cut-Off Frequency and Resonance (2 knobs)

Effects (really great sounding, inspiring + convincing!): TYPE: Distortion, Auto Pan, Ring Mod, Flanger, Phaser, Slice, Delay, Echo, Lo-Fi, Wah - Effects Control: effect punch in / out (or effect On/Off) - KNOBS: parameter effect dry balance, Key shifter function, Pattern/Scratch Fade and more… (2 knobs)

The other knobs: Beat Sync input level, Master Volume - Fader: Patten/Scratch -

Lot: Yamaha DJX IIb unit (includes original video / software CD-ROM (defective!) = mounted on the unit) + original power supply

Condition: Fully works, Good Physical condition with light to average signs of age and use. The scratch pad slightly rubs but performs well. The CD-ROM was damaged: packing tape tore off part of the reflective layer, so can't be played (But: I have and image of the original CD-ROM and can burn you one, if needed at extra cost (my work time): contact me - Note: CD-ROM is in vintage file format and is only recognized by vintage computers from 2000)

Note: The YouTube video attached to this listing is the original Yamaha DJX movie that Yamaha released for the DJX series - not very good, but gives an intro to some extent about how it sounds and what it can do - These are lots of other videos that describe this machine in much more depth and in more detail - If needed message me, and I send you the links, as it seems I can only post one link here.

Purchase Agreement - All Sales are: "AS-IS”, FINAL - and: not returnable: LET’s do all that is needed to make sure to get you exactly what you need - BEFORE your purchase (Not returnable)! PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS - I am here to assist. All items are used and VINTAGE - sold "AS-IS" (-> vintage = often 50 years old!!!) and even with the best of refurb / repair work STILL CAN FAIL) and thus is sold without warranty or guarantees of any kind (AS-IS). I aim to perform all work that I foresee necessary, to provide equipment in well and reliably working condition - refurbish in as much detail as possible - and test thoroughly, to gain confidence through testing, to predict that it will last, but once work complete, it is still possible that something can go or be wrong with it (vintage) - Prices of items offered here reflect the work that went into a given piece of gear until it is listed, but cannot cover what a given piece may need in the future - that would be at your risk and expense - If there are defects, problems or shortcomings: likely I can repair, but it will be at additional cost - I do service what I sell at my regular shop rate. Any shipping costs responsibility of the buyer.
