This is the Stealth, you know the deal, the last and nastiest version of the 5150III 100W. EVH went back into the voicing on all three channels for Eddie’s final touring rig. You get a tighter, heavier, more aggressive amp than the standard 100W, and channel 3 has the most gain of any 5150III. It’s the one people buy when the regular III isn’t enough.
It isn’t a one-trick metal box, though. Channel 1 is a usable clean that breaks up nicely when you push it. Channel 2 covers anything from classic crunch to a thick rhythm sound. Channel 3 is saturated, articulate lead and chug that stays tight even in low tunings.
