The body features the mahogany-and-maple sandwich construction associated with mid-1970s Les Paul production, topped with a carved maple cap. This combination delivers the sustain, articulation, and midrange presence that helped define the sound of the era. Unlike modern weight-relieved Les Paul models, the 1976 Deluxe Reissue features a solid, non-weight-relieved body that preserves the substantial feel and resonance of the original design. Single-ply cream binding outlines the carved top, providing a traditional visual contrast against the vibrant Blue Sparkle finish.
