The Yamaha HS8 in black is a bi-amplified 2-way nearfield studio monitor built for one job: telling you the truth about your mix. Drawing on the heritage of Yamaha's legendary reference monitors, the HS8 delivers a flat, honest response so that what you hear in your room translates to headphones, car stereos and club systems alike.

A 8" cone woofer and a 1" dome tweeter are each driven by their own dedicated amplifier, for 120W of total power. The low-resonance MDF enclosure and carefully matched transducers keep coloration to a minimum, while the extended high-frequency response reveals detail in vocals, cymbals and reverb tails.

Room Control and High Trim switches let you compensate for wall proximity and tailor the top end to your acoustic space. Balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs accept balanced or unbalanced sources, making the HS8 easy to integrate with any audio interface, mixer or controller. The 8" woofer reaches down to 38 Hz, so you can judge kick drums and bass lines without needing a subwoofer.
