Fender Flame Elite, part of the Fender Masters Series, either 1985 or '86. Numerous changes made to the guitar over the years include EMG 57/66 pickup set; new switches, pots, knobs, and output jack; Tone Pros bridge and tailpiece replacing the original Kahler tremolo; new truss rod cover. Pro setup with low comfortable action, plays in tune all over the fretboard.
There are a lot of scrapes, dings, and dents as I've tried to show in the photos. Definitely not a closet classic, this was a workingman's guitar for many years. The original Kahler basically stopped working at some point in the 90s, and the guitar still has the rout cavity. The mini switch is not wired in, but the pickups, volume pots, tone pots, and output jack function as they should.
Sonically, it's like Fender's answer to a Les Paul or Ibanez Artist, but since it's chambered it is a good bit warmer sounding. Great clean tones, amazing dirty tones. Comes with a brand new Gator hard case.
