Gibson stamped tune-o-matic bridge can also be setup with wrap-around tailpiece. Currently I have it setup in vintage style.
Upgrades:
1. Pickups upgraded to Seymour Duncan 59, SH-1 Neck, and Custom 5, SH-14 Bridge. One of my favorite combo. The organic nature of the AlNico magnets pair very well with the crisp Walnut and Ebony for a warmer natural tone.
2. Pots, caps, and wiring upgraded with CTS/Emerson 500k brass shaft pots, NOS Sprague “Black Beauty” matched caps for killer tone.
Freshly cleaned and polished fingerboard and frets. strung with D’Addario XL110 10-46.
Frets are worn, see pics. no impact to playability or buzzing but this one probably has one last level and crown in it.
The finish appears all original with lots of scuffs, some buckle rash, and dings but really in great shape for a near 50 year old!!
Includes hard case as pictured. It’s period correct, but beat up from doing its job. The 4 latches still work, the lock is missing the latch, and the handle has a rough repair.
