JBL AM7215/64 Two-Way Full Range Loudspeaker

The AM7215/64 is a workhorse mid-to-large format speaker engineered for consistent, articulate output across theatrical, corporate, and installed sound applications. Its trapezoid cabinet and rotatable waveguide afford flexible deployment in diverse venues, while the dual-voice-coil woofer and compression driver deliver authoritative presence without coloration.

Sonic Performance & Coverage

This system achieves 96 dB SPL sensitivity at 1W/1m in passive mode, yielding 124 dB continuous average SPL with 130 dB peak capability—sufficient for mid-sized rooms and outdoor reinforcement. The 60° × 40° rotatable waveguide and directivity index of 12.6 dB ensure controlled, predictable coverage without excessive off-axis energy or reflections.

Driver Design & Build Quality

The JBL 2265H 380mm differential-drive woofer with dual voice coil and magnetic gap provides extended low-end reach from 34 Hz (at −10 dB), while the JBL 2432H compression driver with 75mm voice coil and 38mm exit handles midrange and treble with minimal distortion. Heavy bracing, multi-ply birch construction, and the durable DuraFlex finish ensure years of reliable service in demanding environments.
