Up for sale here is the legendary Marshall 2203 JCM 800 100 watt guitar amp in excellent condition given its age. This one is the rare ‘84 “transition era” model with 5 filter caps just before they changed the power section and reduced the filter caps to 3. It is horizontal input but internally and sound-wise it is pretty much like the sought-after vertical input models. Has a nice rare face grill finish too. I’ve swapped several different JCM 800’s over time and this one is by far the best one. The tubes are fresh, TAD redbases in the power amp. Very loud and super crunchy with solid low end, big mids and accurate highs. Not harsh or thin like some of the others I had, sounds great on 12 o’clock-ish settings right away even with no boost, add an SD1 in front for extra gain boost and you are golden!
I would never sell it but I have to downsize my collection because I am becoming a father so any extra cash helps, and I won’t have too much free time to play all those amps. So feel free to check my other listings for more amps on sale.
