The dbx 266 Project 1 is a dual-channel rackmount compressor and expander/gate that might be good for someone on a very tight budget who needs the audio processing features it offers, or for someone who wants to experiment with a a now vintage 30 year old design as a special effect or? It was only used lightly in my smoke and pet free home studio.
Comes with power supply, rack mounting screws, original printed manual, and original box. Please see pictures and ask any questions you may have before purchasing.
- Dual Channels: Operates as two independent mono channels or linked for stereo operation using the Stereo Couple switch.
- Compression Controls: Each channel features individual knobs for Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, and Output Gain.
- OverEasy Technology: Uses dbx's signature soft-knee compression curve for a smooth transition as signals cross the threshold.
- Expander / Gate: Integrated down-ward expander/gate per channel to clean up background noise and signal bleed.
- Rear Panel: Balanced 1/4" TRS inputs, 1/4" outputs, and 1/4" TRS side-chain insert points per channel.
