Zildjian 20" A Custom Medium Crash - 2386g - Rare Discontinued 2005-2008 Model - Excellent Condition

The Zildjian 20" A Custom Medium Crash is a short-lived and relatively uncommon discontinued A Custom model produced during the mid-2000s.

Unlike the thinner standard A Custom Crash, the Medium Crash was intentionally built substantially heavier for greater volume, projection, and a higher-pitched, glassy attack while retaining the smooth response associated with the A Custom series.

Sonic Splice Notes

This is a particularly interesting A Custom.

At 2386g, it is much heavier than a modern thin 20" A Custom Crash and approaches ride-cymbal territory on the scale. That is not an error—the discontinued Medium Crash was specifically designed as a heavier, louder A Custom crash.

The extra mass gives it a powerful, glassy attack with considerably more body and projection than a typical A Custom Crash. It also has enough definition and bell presence that players may find some crash/ride versatility in it.

The 20" A Custom Medium Crash was only produced for a relatively short period and rarely appears on the secondary market, particularly in this condition.
