dbx 900A Frame w/qty 4 903 compressor & qty 4 904 noise gates

A few years back I stumbled on a rack of old school dbx 900 stuff. I had heard of it but never heard how they sounded. I'm a big dbx 160x fan, so I became really enamored with the stuff... especially the 903 comps.

Since then, I went down the rabbit hole of all rabbit holes, acquiring much 900 gear as I could... though it was kind of love hate because I discovered most of it had been neglected... was just old and kind of trashed out… mismatched poorly stored, etc.

This is a rack of 4 silver border dbx 903 compressor AND 4 dbx silver border 904 noise gates in a dbx 900A frame rack.

The 900A FRAME rack & all 8 modules power on and pass signal i/o and have no issues.

Please notice that: one of the 903 modules is missing top & bottom screws. The module connects just fine in the back without them, but it is worth pointing out and this is reflected in the price.

Included is a brand new box of short muti-colored xlr cables for all of the I/O you will need. You’ll need to do a bit of cutting & crimping of spade connectors for the barrier strip I/O, but it’s almost nothing in supplies and ez if you are handy with basic wiring.

It’s really great stuff… highly underrated cuz dbx lost the 900 series vs. 500 series format wars back in the day. I’ve used quite a bit of this gear in my drum studio with great results, but now I’m forced to hugely downsize/consolidate… so all of it is on the block. PRICING:

A fair price for a 903 module in good working & physical condition (like these) is around 150-200. There are 4 of these here: Let’s say $150 x 4 = $600.

I totally realize the 904’s are much less sought after/desirable, but they are still useful and work fine. Let’s say these are worth $50 each. So $50 x 4 is $200

You can buy one of the 900A frames in good shape by themselves for around $250

$600 + $200 +$250 = $1050

I will sell the whole package for WAY over half of that price at $450. Even if you never use the 904’s, this price for the compressors and the rack should cover it.
