Up for sale is a beautiful, highly sought-after 2012 Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus which includes a 1960 pick guard. While this guitar has some dings and dents, otherwise known as character, it has some serious mojo. I know it may seem like it’s overpriced but when you have this in your hands, you’ll understand it’s worth every penny.
It actually hurts to sell this one but I have too much stuff and need to sell it. I included a few pictures I took and then higher quality pics from the website when I purchased it a few months ago.
The "Plus" designation means this model features a premium, highly figured AA Flamed Western Maple top that absolutely pops in the light. This specific era is highly regarded for combining vintage aesthetics with modern, aggressive power. It features the incredibly fast, slim SlimTaper '60s neck profile and a torrefied "Baked Maple" fretboard. Due to the factory wood transitions in late 2011/2012, Gibson heat-treated these maple boards to remove moisture. The result is a highly stable, snappy fretboard that feels silky smooth and gives the guitar an incredible, articulate bite akin to ebony.
Under the hood, this guitar screams. It comes factory-equipped with uncovered Gibson ceramic humbuckers: a 496R in the neck and a high-output 500T "Super Ceramic" in the bridge (the chrome covers were added because it looks better). It handles everything from crystal-clear cleans to blistering high-gain rock and metal with ease.
This will ship in a hardshell case that has seen some miles, but will be packed very well. If the YouTube video works you’ll see it in action, it’s seriously nice as hell. if it doesn’t sell in a few weeks I’ll prob take that as a sign to keep it !
