Well, this is another survivor from the late 1890s to early 1900s. It is a beautiful unlabeled 4/4 German violin that has a few old scars that only add character. It appears the neck had been repaired at sometime, which I did not do. It had two small cracks near the saddle and one small repair near the F hole that I professionally repaired. This violin has a solid one-piece maple back that had been pegged at the button and a small peg near the end pin on the back. It has one chip (not repaired) on the scroll head but it is hardly noticeable. This violin has a beautiful spruce top with flamed maple ribs in a dark brown finish that has been revarnished. It is professionally setup with steel core strings and has a great sound. If you are looking for a genuine survivor this is the one for you. This 'old gal' still has a lot of life left in her.
If you would like to hear this violin played, message me your cell number and I will send a short video. This violin comes foam packed in a student quality case with bow, rosin and cleaning cloth. This violin has been stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment. Free shipping in the continental United States. All reasonable offers will be considered. I will ship internationally but shipping fees (paid by the buyer) will apply. ITEM#206
