Bosphorus Hammer Series Cymbal 21” MADE IN TURKEY 2104 g Excellent

Bosphorus Hammer Cymbal 21 inches, made in Turkey, approximately 2104 g. It is in very good condition. I could have easily said excellent: no cracks, nicks, or spider cracks around the center hole. No noticeable key-holing; the circumference feels smooth. When I run my finger around the cymbal, I cannot feel any imperfections. The ink stamps are still strong (some slight wear-see pics). There is some grunge/finger marks; nothing to speak of. From a few feet away, it looks great. Check out the hammering in the pictures. Great example of Turkish craftsmanship. Ideal weight for a 21" at about 2104 grams. Not too mushy-thin or too low-pitched, yet still thin enough to be crashable and have some give. This makes for a great main ride. The bells on these Hammer Series cymbals are the perfect size (slightly bigger than the bells on the arguably "too small" Master Series cymbals). These have been out of production for a few years now. Sabian now manufactures the Jeff Hamilton Hammertone Series cymbals. This one listed is the original Jeff Hamilton "Hammer" Series cymbal. While they are similar to the Sabian Hammertones, these seem to be more in the vein of the old-school Turkish K Zildjians made in Turkey pre-1970s. If you have any questions, please email me.

Please search to see for yourself: The least expensive used Sabian Hammertone 21" cymbal I found listed on Reverb right now is $495, plus $25.00 shipping. All others were over $500.00. Moreover, there are no Bosphorus Hammer Cymbals that came up when I searched.
